Settling In...

Sorry it's taking me so long to post stuff here... I spent all my allotted computer time yesterday trying to figure out a better way to share photos... I signed up for an online account that will do photo sharing, but right as I was uploading pictures the internet went down here... So I got frustrated and shut the computer and didn't come back until this morning...

Sunday was a great day! Mexico quickly turned into Flex-ico when the buses didn't show up for two of the teams in the morning... So we had to scrap our original plans and come up with something on the fly... We decided to do church here on the property, so that consisted of Worship, a Testimony from the Pastor of the other group that got left behind, and then some service project stuff... We organized the 'donation room'... The donation room is the place where they store all of the donations that the teams bring down... Then, when a childrens home has a need, they can come to the donation room or ask if there's anything we can bring them from the room...

Needless to say, the donation room gets a little (ok, a lot!!!) cluttered... Let's put it this way - If Oprah was in Mexico, you would see this room on TV, before and after her clean-up crew came in and totally cleaned and organized it... So we laid out these huge blankets with the names of each childrens home written next to them, and we piled up all the donations to deliver them according to their need...

After that we loaded up onto the buses and went to ERJ (see previous post)... We participated in a lot of the Ropes Course Elements and got to spend a little time at the childrens home before returning to our campus...

Here is the walk from the orphanage to the ropes course...

This is a picture of us ever-so-gingerly passing J.J. Lail ("hota-hota" in spanish) through the 'Spider-Web'... Click on the picture for the full effect!
