arrival!

After 2 flights, immigracion, customs (strange customs process with random screening - you press a button, if the light turns green you're good, if it turns red they open all of your stuff!), we have finally arrived...

We were greeted by a big dude holding a paper with our names on it who went by the name "Junior"... Now, usually, I wouldn't necessarily trust a man in a foreign country to take us 45 minutes away in his car, but I went with my gut and followed this one fail-proof rule: Always trust a man who wears a headband. Always. Plus Jen was really excited because she's always wanted to be greeted at the airport with someone holding up a sign with her name on it...

So we crammed in the car and rode all the way to the camp... I had forgotten just how beautiful this place is... And I can't believe how much stuff they've done over the last year... Last summer we started work on one of the new houses, a group of guys loaded several thousand cinder blocks up to the second story of a now completely finished house! Now there are two other house built! One is about 98% done, and the other is about 50% done... I'm telling you, this place is especially beautiful right now...
