I want to let you see some of what we're seeing, so here are some of pictures... You can click on them for higher resolution pictures...
The first picture is mostly of the mountains... I'm telling you, we are surrounded by beauty... I just heard a song, the chorus sings about God:
When You stand, the tall trees and mountains bow
When You speak, the fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the sinner seek devotion
The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees
When I think about us, about our place in the world, about how incredible the God of the universe is, I'm just amazed... And even more amazed to think that if God were to stand here, right here, that these mountains would bow... Unbelievable...
The next picture is of our "revival tent"... It's not really a revival tent, but it looks like one... We had a big party, invited all of the kids from all of the orphanages that we serve, fed them dinner, did some crafts, and sang some songs with them... We had 160 Kilos of steak (that's about 350 pounds) and it was delicious! That's the thing about this place... They could have ordered hamburgers and hot dogs... They could have saved a lot of money and did a pasta dinner... But they wanted to show these kids how much they are worth, how much God cares for them... How much does God love these kids? Steak Much! (Arrachera Mucho)...
The last picture is of Jen holding one of the little guys... She is so great with these kids... I just sit back and marvel at how well she loves on them! Her favorite trick with this guy was to cradle him and swing him around...
